Emma Emma is from Pennsylvania. In her first year at Smith College in Massachusetts, Emma joined several music organizations, including the Ukulele Club and the Irish Music Ensemble, in which she plays the fiddle. She became quite involved in theater too and participated in the production of Legally Blonde -- The Musical and will be the costume designer for next semester's production of Seussical. She's also an intern at the Smith College Historic Clothing Collection where she curates public exhibits ranging from early-20th century bodices to designer high-heel sneaker boots from 1980. She also manages the collection's social media presence.

In the summer, Emma worked at the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia where she maintained exhibits and facilitated educational programs for children covering history, art, and science. She has a passion for the arts, as evidenced by her numerous endeavors, including writing plays. Her senior project was writing a play about her life as someone with significant hearing loss, and this has since been staged in a theater.

Emma was a straight A student in high school. She has been involved in many activities in the arts. She has involved with the Philadelphia young playwrights, has tutored other writers at workshops, been involved in several writing camps and meetings, and played the first violin in her high school orchestra. She also has received multiple awards, including 1st place in the National History Day Philadelphia competition.

Emma plans a career as a writer, perhaps as a playwright.
