Kylie is in the fourth and final year of her doctorate program at Ball State University in Audiology. She's interning at a private practice in Greenville, Ohio and upon graduation, plans to continue working at the same practice. She finds audiology a very rewarding career on many different levels. Kylie recently received awards from Ball State University and ISHA (Indiana Speech and Hearing Association) recognizing her as an outstanding student clinician. She recently purchased a home in Darke County, Ohio and has plans to get married in the fall of 2015.
In 2012 Kylie graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree, Cum Laude, majoring in Speech and Hearing Science. She completed her first year successfully while working part time as a graduate assistant for the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. The next year, she worked with a variety of hearing patients in the clinic. Despite her hearing loss, she is able to connect both physically and emotionally with many patients, and because of that, believes she has a bright future.
Kylie, from rural Ohio, was mainstreamed, and graduated at the top of her class at Ansonia High School with a 3.96 GPA. Her letters of recommendation attest to her outstanding achievements. She was involved in multiple activities. These included student council (where she was president her senior year), Future Farmers of America (where she was also elected president), National Honor Society, and Homecoming Chairperson. She also played varsity softball and volleyball. Kylie plans to become an audiologist so that she can help others with hearing loss.
